#18 Linda J. Anesi of “Butterflies are Free ... (Why can’t folks with cancer be?)”
Embellishments & Techniques: The outside of the bra is machine pieced with floral fabric. The edges are blanket stitched all around. It is trimmed with fused 3-D butterfly appliqués, satin bows and rickrack. The inside is painted and scattered with iridescent butterflies.
Artist’s Statement: This is dedicated to the memory of Pat Miller, an avid quilter. The butterflies for the bra are from fabric she donated to our charity quilt group, the Comfort Quilters. From a 21 year survivor!
