Artist’s Statement: “We are born with a pair ... ” As we navigate through life enduring the consequences of mammograms, biopsies, radiation, chemotherapy and minor or major surgeries, our once seemingly perfect pair can become more than imperfect. No matter what we endure, whether they completely exist at all, they can still be a “nice pear”.
This piece is dedicated to a woman, Chris Zimmer, who is fighting her third battle against breast cancer. Chris still has a “nice pear”.
