Artist’s Statement: I am a 20+ year breast cancer survivor. In 1989 choices of treatment were fewer than today. I was encouraged by three physicians to have a mastectomy, which I did. I doubt today’s cure would be as drastic. However, it appears that was the cure, for here I am, 20 years later! So I had to ... “know when to hold ’em, and when to fold ’em.” No regrets!
